Post Secret.

This one made me cry a little today, because I know one day I will have to say goodbye to my beloved Georgie. DrMr's father meanly reminds me all the time that George is a DOG and is going to DIE soon (he's only 7ish!). Yes, I KNOW, but that doesn't mean that I don't want it to happen and that I am acutely aware that I am going to lose a member of my family. And he is that. He is so very special.

Only a dog? What? They are fur babies! We'll enjoy them for many years to come.

Don't.
I can't even think about my dog not being here without crying.

Ah Georgie you're the top internet blog dog. My dog died 10 years ago and I talk about him almost every day like some insane grandma - telling little anecdotes of what he used to do and stuff (and how our family would have stale sandwiches for tea, while the dog would eat homemade carrots aux gratin with beef sausage cassoulet). Doggies are such treasures, Georgie's clearly got a fantastic life with you, what a lucky little bugger! :)

I....am....bawling!

I think it's the least you can do for them.
Stay there & hold their paw.

I've got tears in my eyes, a lump in my throat, and my wonderful 10 year old cat is on my lap watching my fingers tap on the keyboard

This had me tearing up!

My 15 year old cat is on the way out, I fear. She's been around longer than the husband, child, chook, dog. We've been through a lot together!
